Typically, trust grapples are constructed from a single piece of aluminum, and this is then machined and shaped to wrap around the truss chords. The primary problem with this method is that it limits the point of connection to a singular truss stick due to the diagonal formation of the truss ladder – so when two solid aluminum grapples are placed together, they hit these diagonal members. In many ways, this defeats or at least limits the entire purpose of having a grapple, which is meant to provide for as many connection points on a truss as possible.

A truss grapple is a convenient alternative to using corner blocks for connecting truss rods. A corner block limits the truss connection to the ends, whereas a grapple is meant to enable a greater amount of connection points. Our truss grapples, however, suffer from no such limitations. Unlike others produced by other manufacturers, ours can be connected from literally anywhere.
